Mist Elimination Cooling Tower
The water-saving plume-abatement cooling tower is an advanced cooling system designed to significantly reduce water consumption and improve cooling efficiency. Compared with traditional cooling towers, it achieves water-saving goals by reducing evaporation losses and optimizing water consumption.
Working principle: The water vapor generated during the cooling process is captured by an efficient demisting device, thereby reducing water loss. This design not only improves cooling efficiency, but also reduces the negative impact on the environment and improves overall economic benefits. On the basis of the open cooling tower, the water-saving plume-abatement cooling tower introduces an air cooling system or a condensing system, which is connected in series or in parallel with the wet cooling unit, and uses an external cold source for cooling and cooling, further reducing water evaporation and fog plume emissions, becoming a new generation of environmentally friendly open cooling towers.
The technology adopts a combination of air cooling and condensation cooling, equipped with excellent air coolers and electric louver to ensure long-term operation without performance degradation. The modular design makes installation easy, the structure stable and the service life long. By adjusting the shutter angle, the air volume can be changed in different seasons, reducing air flow resistance and fan energy consumption, and improving economy and demisting water saving effects.
In addition, the condensing module is placed in the cooling tower air chamber, and the saturated hot and humid air discharged from the filler enters the condensing module channel, condenses into condensed water and drips back into the circulating water system. This design ensures that the moisture and air coming out of the condensing module are evenly mixed, effectively saving water and demisting. The condensing module does not need to be cleaned regularly, will not freeze in severe cold climates, and its weight is evenly distributed in the tower, which is beneficial to the basic design of the cooling tower. All components can work normally under severe cold conditions to ensure the reliability and stability of the system.

Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages
- Significant water-saving effect: The cooling tower reduces the evaporation loss of water during the cooling process through optimized design, especially in high-temperature environments, which can significantly save water and is suitable for areas with limited water resources.
- Defogging function: Since the cooling tower will generate mist during operation, the defogging technology effectively captures this water vapor, reducing environmental pollution and visual obstruction, which is particularly suitable for industrial facilities near residential areas and sensitive areas.
- Improve cooling efficiency: The use of finned tubes or other high-efficiency heat exchange designs can achieve better cooling effects at a smaller water flow rate, improving the overall performance of the equipment.
- Environmental compliance: With increasingly stringent environmental standards, the design of water-saving defogging cooling towers meets the requirements of modern industry for sustainable development and environmental protection, helping companies reduce their carbon footprint.
Disadvantages
- Higher initial investment: Due to the use of more complex design and high-efficiency materials, the initial construction and equipment costs of water-saving mist-eliminating cooling towers are generally higher than traditional cooling towers, which may pose a challenge to companies with limited funds.
- Maintenance requirements: The design of the mist-eliminating device and finned tubes requires regular maintenance to ensure their proper operation. If not properly maintained, it may affect the cooling efficiency and equipment life.
- Technical complexity: The complexity of the equipment may require a higher level of technical skills for operation and maintenance, increasing the need for operator training.
- Limited application scenarios: Although water-saving mist-eliminating cooling towers perform well in many industrial applications, they may not be as efficient as other types of cooling towers in some specific conditions (such as extreme climates or special cooling needs).
